What’s Needed for your FFL License Application?
You will need to have a valid Federal Firearms License (FFL) in order to do business in the firearms industry which means that you will need to complete an FFL license application. This has been a legal requirement per the Gun Control Act of 1968 which was enacted in the United States of America. The entire licensing system is overseen by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) and once you obtain your license from them it is valid for three years. Then, it must be renewed for another three years. Don’t wait too long to apply for your FFL because you cannot do business selling firearms and ammunition without it.
So You Want to Get a Gun Dealer License

You will be charged an application fee when you apply for your license. The amount varies, depending on where you are setting up business. And, there are different firearm licenses that require a different fee. The fees must be re-paid when you renew your license every three years. Getting a gun dealer license is something that you can do but it will take a little leg work on your part. And, you will be required to meet any and all federal regulations before a license will be issued to you.

You will save an extraordinary amount of money because you will be able to purchase firearms at very low wholesale prices and then put whatever retail price on them that you want.
Once your FFL license application has been approved by the BATFE, you will be able to engage in a business pertaining to the manufacture of firearms and ammunition or the interstate or intrastate sale of firearms. The FFL license is absolutely required and must be posted in your business at the location where the business is located. It is not valid for any other firearms businesses that you might open in the future. Each location needs its own separate Federal Firearms License.
