You may want to use one of the many FFL kits that are available to you online that provide you with all the necessary information you will need to fill out your application. Or, you may decide to do the necessary research and complete the requirements yourself. Either way, there is quite a bit of background legwork that you will have to do before submitting your application to the BATFE. Your main goal is to find the right tools and then do whatever it takes to make sure that you have all the requirements fulfilled. Once your FFL license application has been approved by the BATFE, you will be able to engage in a business pertaining to the manufacture of firearms and ammunition or the interstate or intrastate sale of firearms. The FFL license is absolutely required and must be posted in your business at the location where the business is located. It is not valid for any other firearms businesses that you might open in the future. Each location needs its own separate Federal Firearms License.
